AMBICO is dedicated to manufacturing sustainable products for the construction industry, including our specialized doors, frames, and windows. Our commitment to green building means that we are continuously developing sustainable processes and products to meet the needs of our customers while also taking into consideration the needs of the environment.
Environment
For over 10 years, we have been a major contributor to LEED and LEED v4 projects, creating Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), and sourcing materials from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Our FSC certified wood doors guarantee that the product was sourced from responsibly managed forest and our LEED supporting products contain both pre and post consumer recycled content.
In addition to our sustainable processes and products, we are also dedicated to promoting sustainable principles to architects through our AIA certified Acoustic Door Assemblies and Their Role in Sound Control course. Our course covers LEED v4 and has achieved GBCI certification, as well as being designated Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) and Sustainable Design.
Environmental sustainability and green building
At AMBICO, we believe that environmental sustainability and green building will continue to be an integral part of the construction industry and we are committed to doing our part to create a more sustainable future. We are proud to offer our customers eco-friendly products that help to reduce our impact on the environment and continue to strive for more sustainable solutions.

LEED v4
LEED v4 is the latest version of the USGBC’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system. It promotes more sustainable practices that go beyond LEED v3, taking the entire building life cycle into consideration. LEED v4 encourages the use of green materials, energy and water efficiency, and indoor environmental quality to create a more sustainable and efficient building. It is the most comprehensive rating system to date.
FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an international, non-profit organization that promotes responsible management of the world’s forests. It promotes the responsible use of forest resources, sets standards for forest management, and certifies forest products that meet its standards. FSC certification ensures that forests are managed in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.
An EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is a document that provides transparent and comparable information about the life-cycle environmental impact of a product. It typically contains data on the inputs and outputs of energy, materials, transport, air and water emissions, and waste associated with the production of a product.
