This is a truly exciting time at AMBICO. As we enter our 70th year of family-owned operations, we continue to purposely invest in our future. We are not only investing in state-of-the-art machinery—new press brakes and process improvements—but also in a top-tier management team. Our new President, Jennifer McGill, brings deep industry knowledge and a personal energy that has revitalized our factory. I’ve been personally energized by the goals, milestones, and structures Jennifer has challenged us with, which have translated into increased attention to customer service, product quality, and quicker turnaround times. These improvements are already expanding AMBICO’s footprint in the market, and we look forward to sharing more of these achievements in the days and weeks ahead.

Acoustic Seal Kit Update
At AMBICO, we prioritize the feedback we receive from our esteemed clientele, as it drives our continuous improvement efforts. In keeping with our unwavering commitment to enhancing performance and installation efficiency, we are standardizing seal kits utilized in our acoustic assemblies. We are transitioning from our current seal kit to a higher-performing alternative as shown below.

This change will affect assemblies between and inclusive of STC39 and STC46 for steel doors, between STC36 and STC46 for non-fire rated wood doors, and between STC36 and STC40 for fire-rated wood doors.
Our new seal kit promises equivalent acoustic performance while greatly enhancing the ease of door operation and installation. This adjustment not only streamlines our product offerings across various acoustic ratings but also reduces the complexity associated with different seal kit designs.
We are confident that this upgrade will contribute to an improved experience for our customers, offering greater adjustability and reliability. Thank you for your continued support and feedback as we strive to deliver the best possible solutions.
Project Highlight: Fredericksburg Area Clinic

Earlier this year, AMBICO successfully completed the new Fredericksburg Area Clinic. This state-of-the-art, four-story, 450,000-square-foot facility is now one of the largest privately owned VA medical centers in the U.S. Construction began in 2021 and was officially completed in May 2024, replacing two smaller outpatient clinics to better serve the region’s growing veteran population with expanded healthcare services.
This half-million-dollar project called for a total of 84 one-of-a-kind, specialized doors and frames to accommodate the large facility. In collaboration with our sales representative, Architects Sales and Marketing LLC, and distributor, Precision Hardware, AMBICO took on this project in November 2022. We supplied acoustic wood doors to ensure patient privacy and minimize sound transmission, lead-lined doors to offer radiation protection away from imaging rooms, lead-lined acoustic combination doors for environments requiring sound insulation as well as radiation shielding, and vision lite doors for high visibility and patient monitoring.
Our work on the Fredericksburg Area Clinic underscores our commitment to quality and precision in the healthcare sector, ensuring that every door we provide contributes to a safer, quieter, and more secure environment for both patients and staff. AMBICO is dedicated to perfecting our specialized door lines for healthcare applications, with quality and performance tested to the most up-to-date standards.
Thank you, Architects sales and marketing LLC, and Precision Hardware for your support and collaboration in this project. Together, we made this project a success story.
